Política de cookies
LECLAB informs about the use of cookies on its website: leclab.madrid.
What are cookies?
Cookies are files that can be downloaded to your computer through web pages. They play an essential role in providing numerous information society services. Among other functions, they allow a website to store and retrieve information about a user's browsing habits or their computer and, depending on the information obtained, they can be used to recognize the user and improve the service offered.
Types of Cookies
Depending on who manages the domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained, two types can be distinguished:
- First-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
If the cookies are installed from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself but the information collected by these is managed by a third party, they cannot be considered as first-party cookies.
There is also a second classification according to the length of time they remain stored in the client's browser, which can be:
- Session cookies: Designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page. They are commonly used to store information that only needs to be preserved for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion (e.g., a list of purchased products).
- Persistent cookies: Data continues to be stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie manager, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
Finally, there is another classification with six types of cookies according to the purpose for which the obtained data are processed:
- Technical Cookies: These allow users to navigate through a website, platform, or application and use the various options or services available such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying sessions, accessing restricted access parts, remembering the elements of an order, carrying out the purchasing process of an order, making requests for registration or participation in an event, using security elements during browsing, storing content for the broadcasting of videos or sound, or sharing content through social networks.
- Personalization Cookies: These allow the user to access the service with some general features predefined based on a series of criteria on the user’s device such as language, the type of browser through which the service is accessed, the regional configuration from where the service is accessed, etc.
- Analytics Cookies: These allow the person in charge of them to monitor and analyze the behavior of the users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through such cookies is used in measuring the activity of the websites, applications, or platforms and for the creation of user navigation profiles of such sites, applications, and platforms, in order to make improvements based on an analysis of the data usage by the users of the service.
- Advertising Cookies: These enable the management, in the most effective way possible, of the advertising spaces.
- Behavioral Advertising Cookies: These store information on user behavior obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on it.
- External Social Network Cookies: These are used so that visitors can interact with content from various social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and are generated only for users of those social networks. The conditions of use of these cookies and the information collected are regulated by the privacy policy of the corresponding social platform.
